| Leading Manufacturer and Exporter of Water Treatment Processes such as Flocculation Test Unit, Sedimentation Studies Apparatus, Permeability/Fluidisation Studies Apparatus and Filterability Index Unit from Ambala. |
|
The equipment is designed to allow the well-known 'jar tests' to be conducted on samples of water requiring treatment. The correct dosage conditions to remove colour and turbidity may be established on a laboratory scale as a prelude to full-scale plant operation. A bench top unit comprising an internally illuminated base and a backboard supporting a control console • Six stirrers with stainless steel paddle shafts and blades linked to a variable speed motor. • Stirrer speed range typically 25-240 rpm. •Stirrer assemblies are easily demounted to allow the test vessels to be removed and cleaned. •Digital timer 1-99 minutes •Two adjustable pre-set programs Dimensions of paddle blade: 50mm x 15mm Stirrer speed range: 25-240rpm (approx.) Sample volume: 1 litre (each vessel) |
The Sedimentation Studies Apparatus provides a facility for studying the basic physical processes involved in sedimentation. > effect of initial concentration on sedimentation rates > construction of settling rate curves from a single batch test > effect of initial suspension height on sedimentation rates > effect of particle size distribution > use of flocculating additives. Triple Beam Top Loading Balance Capacity: 2610g Sensitivity: 0.1g Tare: 225g Height: 1.14m Width: 0.70m Depth: 0.43m. |

The Permeability/Fluidisation Studies Apparatus is designed for students to measure and understand the characteristics of flow through a bed of particles. Such flows occur both naturally (in certain ground water situations) and in process plant designs. The apparatus can also be used for a part of the testing of media for water and waste water filtration. > pressure drop measurements and correlations for flow through packed beds Mercury thermometer Sieve Shaker Alternative bed materials (e.g. sand, anthracite) Mercury for manometer (alternatively we can supply a Portable Pressure Meter: ask for H Series Data Sheet) Volume 1.5m3 |
The Filterability Index Unit enables a water quality test to be made on a suspension to be filtered through sand or similar granular media. It can therefore be used in routine control at waterworks, or at a sewage treatment works which employs tertiary filtration. Equipment consists of a metal framework supporting a 1.5 litre vessel connected by transparent tubing to a 60mm high filter unit • A needle valve controls the flow which is observed on a variable area flowmeter. Flow meter range: 20-280ml/min • A 0.5m water manometer measures head loss across the filter • Test filter cell diameter: 38mm.Laboratory drain or 1 litre receiving vessel Height: 0.97m Width: 0.45m Depth: 0.25m |
